As temperatures drop and heating prices increase, thousands of local seniors and veterans in Southeast Tennessee and Northwest Georgia struggle with hunger and face impossible choices – purchase groceries or heat their home, pay for prescriptions or purchase food for their family. Their budgets are stretched thin and they are struggling to make ends meet.
Though many of us may not realize the disparities that exist in our own backyard, 1 in 8 of our local seniors and veterans are facing these impossible choices on a daily basis, but you can help.
