Thousands of seniors and veterans in our community are at risk of missing meals this winter. For those living on a fixed income, it's even more difficult to afford groceries when the cost of heating your home increases as the temperature drops.
In the 20 counties we serve in Southeast Tennessee and Northwest Georgia, 136,960 children, families, seniors, and veterans struggle with hunger every day, which is no way to live.
When you give to the Chattanooga Area Food Bank, you help our seniors and veterans access nutritious food, including fresh fruits and vegetables. Together, with our more than 300 partner agencies, friends like you help us to provide healthy meals to more than 25,000 people (on average) each week, but it's still not enough.
With your support, we can ensure our neighbors in need have enough nutritious meals during this challenging time of year.
